THE PRESIDENT

Dr Anton Tabone

Building on Success for the 2025–2026 Season

After a historic and highly successful debut season competing in Malta—clinching both the Malta National League 2 title and the MFA Amateur Cup—our focus now turns confidently to the upcoming 2025–2026 football season. Over the past months, we’ve made significant strides in strengthening the foundations of our beloved Club and preparing for an even brighter future.

For the very first time in our history, Victoria Hotspurs F.C. will be competing in the Malta Youth League, fielding a brand-new squad composed entirely of Gozitan players—some of the most promising young footballers of their generation. We are immensely excited about this new chapter, as it presents these talented youths with a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience at a higher competitive level and elevate their performance.

Victoria Hotspurs has always embraced innovation and growth, and this bold step into youth football reflects our continued ambition. We sincerely hope that our vision and courage will bear fruit—not only for the Club but, more importantly, for the development and future of these young players.

Meanwhile, our senior team has been significantly reinforced by the arrival of some of the most established names in the Maltese football scene. It is a great honour to welcome these players to the Hotspurs family, and we are confident they will wear the red jersey with pride as we aim to challenge for even more silverware.

Another proud milestone is the recent launch of the Victoria Hotspurs Football Academy, in collaboration with Luxol St. Andrew’s F.C. This exciting initiative will further strengthen our youth development structure and attract new generations of aspiring footballers to our Club. Our mission is to provide them with top-level coaching and facilities, helping them unlock their full potential and pursue dreams they never imagined possible.

We are also pleased to announce that Victoria Hotspurs F.C. has entered into a cooperation management agreement with Gharb Local Council to support  in the administration of the Gharb football ground and its facilities for the next three years. This partnership allows us to provide a welcoming and professional training environment for our senior team, youth squad, and Academy. Refurbishment works are already underway to transform the facility into a premier training destination. We extend our sincere thanks to Mayor David Apap and all council members of the Għarb Local Council for their unanimous and collective support and invaluable cooperation.

Finally, we appeal once more to our loyal and passionate supporters. All our efforts—on and off the pitch—are dedicated to meeting your high expectations and bringing pride to our Club. With your continued support, and God willing, we are ready to write the next successful chapter in the history of Victoria Hotspurs F.C.
