Last Saturday was a busy day for our club. Our President, Secretary and Integrity Officer had the opportunity to attend the Gozo Regional Sports Forum 2026, hosted by the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport (AIMS), where several key topics shaping the future of sport in Malta and Gozo were explored.

The forum featured contributions from Tonio Mizzi, Chairman of AIMS, Mr Kevin Azzopardi, CEO, Dr. Sihon Gauci, Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs, and Dr. Sandro Camilleri, Director of Integrity. Their presentations highlighted the journey of AIMS, from vision to reality.

Key discussions focused on good governance, emphasizing the importance of addressing minor gaps before they evolve into major issues. The significance of safe sport was also underlined, outlining the path forward in creating secure and supportive environments for all participants.

Additionally, an important session covered Malta’s anti-doping and anti-match-fixing framework, clearly defining the responsibilities of National Governing Bodies.

Overall, it was a valuable and thought-provoking event that reinforces our commitment to integrity and excellence in sport.

Simultaneously, our club was also present at the Support Agency Convention as part of the MFA/FSR Stop the Hate campaign. Victoria Hotspurs remains fully committed to fostering an inclusive environment and standing against all forms of discrimination in football.

Representing us at this event was Assistant Secretary Aldrin Cassar.
