Goal in Each Half Enough for Hotspurs
Victoria Hotspurs 2 – 0 Siggiewi F.C.
Scorer: 35′ Rondinely Roberto Monteiro, 65′ Own Goal

On Saturday at the Luxol Stadium, Victoria Hotspurs were looking to continue extending their advantage at the top of the Amateur League 2 after last weekend’s victory against Kalkara. They were offered stiff opposition by Siggiewi, who went down narrowly to St George’s the weekend before, but eventually the Hotspurs fully deserved the three points.

It took Victoria some time to assert themselves however and it was only after 35 minutes when they took the lead. A through pass by Ferdinando Apap found Brazilian striker Rondinely who made no mistake with a fine low shot. The Hotspurs doubled on 65 minutes through an unfortunate own goal deflected by Ryan Farrugia. The Gozitans easily controlled the game after that and romped on to another three points.
