Victoria Hotspurs F.C. held an intensive 5-day training camp in Gambarie,Β Reggio Calabria, Italy. Under the guidance of Head Coach Oliver Spiteri, the camp served as crucial preparation for the 2025β2026 campaign, helping to build team spirit between our seasoned players and new recruits.
Highlight of the camp, A thrilling friendly match against AS Reggina 1914, played in front of a lively crowd. Final score: 2β1 (Goal by Shaun Attard ). This match was held at the Italico Mountain Village Ground in Cuccularo, Gambarie.
Before the match, club President, Dr Anton Tabone and Reggina 1914 representative had the opportunity to exchange both clubβs official kits.
As expected, Reggina 1914 were the better side but the Hotspurs defended very well and managed to open the score in the 58th minute through Shaun Attard. However, Reggina 1914 kept pushing and levelled the score in the 62 minute through Antonino Ragusa. Domenico Girasole made it two in the 84 minute to end the match 2-1 for Reggina 1914.
Although the result wasnβt in our favour, our boys showed real heart, grit, and determination against a tough opponent ,a performance that made us proud.
