Our Under 17 boys crowned a memorable season as they lifted their category's Knock-Cup after beating once again Nadur Y. This after they secured the Championship a couple of weeks ago.

• Friday 7th May - 20.00 Dinner @ St.Francis Square (open to all supporters)

• Saturday 8th May - 14.00 Friendly Match @ Gozo Stadium (U17 and after 1st team)

• Sunday 9th May- 10.30am Mass at St.Francis Church, afterwards official reception at the Club.

Season Greetings

Pre-season training

Today our first team officially started the pre-season training in view of preparation for the first official matches of season 09/10. Coach Mr Buttigieg directed the first training session, at Leli Farrugia Ground, with a full squad at his disposal.

Chris Buttigieg confirmed as Head Coach

Victoria Hotspurs FC communicate that an official agreement was reached with Mr Chris Buttigieg who will continue to be in charge of the club's First team. Buttigieg was appointed mid-way last season and will start his first full season at the club in this position.

Election of new Committee for season 2009-2010

Victoria Hotspurs started the work for next season by composing the new committee. After the elections held on the 5th of June all candidates were elected, as per club's statute. During the first committee meeting the roles were assigned as follows;

Foreign Player Recruitment for season 09-10

Victoria Hotspurs FC have officially started the search for two foreign players to be aggregated to our squad next season. Preference will be given to EU citizens. The selected players will be signed as professional players under the following conditions;

• A maximum salary cap of around 700 euro per month plus bonuses and accommodation.
• The two selected players will be required to share the accommodation provided.
• Players would be required to train on their own in the mornings (at gym) and with the team in the evenings.
• Training on a hard surface ground.
• Players could be involved in our youth coaching.
• Club will pay half travelling expenses if player suites our requists and the club decides to keep him at club.

Annual General Meeting

Victoria Hotspurs FC announce that their annual general meeting will be held next Monday 1st of June 2009, 19.00hrs, at the club's premises. All those interested to become a member of next season's committee can lodge in his application at the club's bar up to the beginning of the annual general meeting.
